Unicef: #Endviolence Campaign Gets Under Your Skin

Unicef: #Endviolence Campaign Gets Under Your Skin

In the highly creative new spot from Unicef, long term ambassador David Beckham's iconic tattoos come to life, exposing the ugly truth about children's suffering from physical and psychological abuse.

Dark and unsettling, the spot is a far cry from the conventional celebrity endorsed cause ads. Instead of the preaching and pleading from a well-known face, the spot evokes an emotional response by getting under the viewer's skin.

The cleverness of this poignant idea is the way that it draws a troubling parallel between tattoos and the scars of physical, emotional or sexual abuse. Where tattoos tend to be chosen as representations of who we are and what we believe in, scars are not chosen. They are forced upon their victims who are then burned to carry them.

This subtle yet effective imagery exposes this dark reality, communicating a strong message to help stop violent acts against children. #Endviolence
